We use creative, seamless transitions to keep the energy flowing, but we always let the music take center stage—meaning no cheesy, over-the-top mic antics. Crisp, professional MC announcements, a packed dance floor, and flawless coordination with your vendor team are our signatures for making your night unforgettable.


A: Our DJs are master mixers who focus on smooth, flawless transitions and creative song manipulation to keep the dance floor moving seamlessly. With the exception of quick, clean scratch transitions to shift musical eras, we don't perform heavy turntable scratching. We believe great songs are crafted to be enjoyed as the artists intended, and our job is to seamlessly blend those tracks together to build the perfect, continuous party soundtrack for your crowd.


A: DJing a wedding is so much more than just clicking play on a laptop. What truly sets Forever Young apart is that we treat your reception as a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, not just another gig. Every entertainer on our elite roster is trained to act as your on-site Reception Director, working behind the scenes to manage timelines, coordinate with your photographer and caterer, and protect your vision. We combine meticulous preparation and top-tier talent to deliver a stress-free, personalized experience where you can actually relax and be a guest at your own legendary party.


A: We arrive a minimum of 1.5 hours (90 minutes) prior to your event's official start time. This guaranteed window ensures our team is completely set up, wires are safely managed, and a full audio/sound check is completed well before your first guest walks through the door.


A: We come completely self-sufficient with our own professional sound systems, wireless microphones, and DJ booths. The only things we require on-site are a dedicated setup area, a chair, and access to two grounded power outlets on a stable circuit. 


A: Absolutely. Presentation is just as important as the music. At a minimum, our team members dress in sharp, polished business-casual or formal professional attire tailored to their wardrobe. For traditional weddings, our male DJs wear suits or dress shirts with jackets, and our female DJs wear professional blazers, slacks, or elegant event attire. If you are throwing a themed celebration—whether that’s a rustic country wedding in boots and plaid or a black-tie gala—just let us know! We are always happy to match our attire to fit your wedding's specific aesthetic.


A: We don't limit ourselves to a single genre because a great wedding crowd thrives on variety! Our team holds a massive, diverse knowledge of music spanning everything from classic polkas and oldies to modern pop and top-charting hip-hop. Across our roster, our personal favorites cover country, alternative rock, high-energy hip-hop, and those massive 1980s–2000s rock anthems. We specialize in reading the room and will completely tailor your evening's soundtrack to match the exact vibe you and your fiancé envision.


A: Our company was founded on deep industry experience. I started DJing weddings and major events back in 2014, officially launching Forever Young DJ Services in 2018. Personally, I have over 250 weddings under my belt—and I’ve brought that exact standard of excellence to our team. Every single entertainer on our elite roster is a seasoned pro who has independently DJed well over 100 weddings. When you book with us, you are getting an absolute expert, never a rookie.


A: We love incorporating interactive elements! We are more than happy to host games to break the ice and bring some extra laughter to your reception. We have a list of proven, crowd-pleasing game ideas right here on our website to choose from, but our team is always excited to try out any unique ideas you have to customize your celebration.


A: Absolutely! We believe that being an elite Master of Ceremonies is just as important as being a great DJ. Our entertainers take immense pride in their crisp microphone skills, natural crowd charisma, and professional hosting. We include full MC services at no extra cost with every single package we offer to ensure your formal announcements and event flow are completely seamless.


A: Ultimately, our favorite song to play is whatever track gets your specific crowd sprinting to the dance floor! Every wedding vibe is unique. However, if our team had to rally around one ultimate, guaranteed floor-filler that always brings down the house, we'd have to say "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers!


A: Absolutely—in fact, we require it! As part of our digital planning process, we provide you with a custom music portal where you can easily log your "Must-Play" and "Do-Not-Play" lists. Some couples customize every detail, while others prefer to let our DJs read the room and mix what works best. It is entirely up to you! You are also welcome to provide a longer list of inspirations, and our team will do our absolute best to weave them into the timeline seamlessly.


A: We actively welcome guest requests at every reception! It’s a fantastic way for our team to gauge what gets your specific crowd moving. However, we do not play requests in the exact order they are received; instead, your DJ will mix them into the night exactly when they best fit the musical flow.

Please note that our top priority is protecting your vision. If a guest requests something on your "Do-Not-Play" list, or a track that we know will clear the dance floor, we will politely pass on it. The only exception to this rule is the newlyweds! Any request made by the bride or groom gets immediate, absolute priority.


A: Because we specialize almost exclusively in private weddings and high-end corporate events, we rarely perform at public venues like bars or clubs. Out of respect for our clients' privacy, we do not invite outside prospective bookings to shadow a real wedding reception. A: Everything you need for an unforgettable, high-end reception! While you can view full details on our Packages & Pricing page, our standard bookings come completely self-sufficient. This includes up to 6 hours of continuous DJ/MC entertainment, premium wireless microphones for toasts, a professional sound system with high-output speakers, vibrant dance floor lighting, and a sleek, ultra-clean DJ booth setup that complements your decor rather than distracting from it.


A: Yes! We love a crowd that doesn't want the night to end. Our contract includes a flexible overtime clause so you can extend the party right from the dance floor. Overtime is billed at $175.00 per full hour, or $100.00 per half hour, and can be easily authorized with your DJ on-site.


A: Always. Reliability is one of our brand's strict pillars. Every Forever Young mobile setup includes redundant audio components, extra cables, secondary laptops, and backup microphones. In the incredibly rare event of a hardware failure, our systems are designed to pivot instantly so the music keeps playing without missing a single beat.


A: To protect our commercial-grade digital gear and ensure the safety of your guests, our equipment must be placed near a reliable, completely dry power source and under a solid weather covering. If sudden weather hits an outdoor setup, our team will work quickly to help relocate the gear to a pre-designated indoor or covered backup location. We strongly encourage all clients booking outdoor celebrations to have an indoor rain contingency plan ready with their venue!


A: Every single time. As part of our mandatory 90-minute early setup window, your assigned DJ conducts a thorough sound and frequency check. We test all wireless microphone ranges, balance the audio levels specifically for your venue's acoustics, and program the lighting arrays well before your first guest ever arrives.


A: To secure your date and match you with one of our elite entertainers, a non-refundable $400.00 retainer is due at the time of booking. From there, our payment schedule is broken down to keep things simple: 50% of your remaining balance is due three (3) months prior to your reception, and the final remaining balance is due one (1) month prior to the big day. Because we reserve your specific DJ and take that date off our calendar completely, all payments made are non-refundable.


A: For the absolute best sound coverage, lighting impact, and crowd engagement, it is highly ideal to place the DJ booth directly next to the dance floor. A setup footprint of roughly 10' x 5' is preferred for our modern audio and lighting gear, but our team is incredibly adaptable and can expertly configure our setup to fit almost any space your venue provides.


A: Zero! One of the biggest advantages of hiring our team is a completely non-stop celebration. Your assigned DJ does not take smoke breaks or step away from the room during prime hours. Even during brief, necessary transitions (like grabbing water or utilizing the restroom during dinner), the music never stops—it is seamlessly managed via our professional auto-mix playlists so the energy remains continuous.


A: Absolutely. Weddings are live events full of moving parts, and our team prides itself on being proactive problem solvers. Your Forever Young DJ is there to ensure a flawless experience from the moment your first guest arrives until the final grand exit. Whether that means stepping out to flag down a caterer, alerting venue staff to a dance floor spill, or collaborating with your photographer to make sure they are in the room before we announce the cake cutting—we act as your on-site coordinators to protect your peace of mind.
